Member Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the member-only features on IslandSold.com. By registering for member access, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service.

Member Access: A secure, password-protected portion of our website that provides registered users with access to additional MLS® data, including sold property prices, pending listings, and historical market information not available to the general public.

Registered Member: A user who has registered with IslandSold.com and has been granted access to member-only data.

To access member features, you must:

• Be at least 19 years of age (the age of majority in British Columbia)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Have a genuine interest in buying, selling, or leasing real property
• Not be a licensed real estate agent, broker, or appraiser (unless separately authorized)
• Not use member data for any commercial purpose or competitive analysis

Member access provides you with additional property information including:

• Sold property prices and sale dates
• Pending (under contract) listings
• Days on market history
• Price change history
• Extended property details and agent remarks

You agree NOT to:

• Share your login credentials with any other person
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute member data in any form
• Use member data for any commercial purpose
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access member data
• Compile member data into databases or mailing lists
• Use member data to solicit property owners or for competitive purposes
• Provide member data to any third party

The member data you access is provided through the Victoria Real Estate Board (VREB) and is subject to the rules and regulations of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and the Real Estate Council of British Columbia (RECBC).

MLS® Trademark: MLS®, Multiple Listing Service®, and the associated logos are owned by The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and identify the quality of services provided by real estate professionals who are members of CREA.

Data Accuracy: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, all member data is provided "as is" without warranty. Property information should be independently verified before making any real estate decisions.

Data Retention: Member data access is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not retain, store, or archive member data except for your personal records related to a specific property transaction.

Your member access may be suspended or terminated if:

• You violate any of these Terms
• You provide false or misleading registration information
• Your account shows signs of automated or bulk data access
• You share your account credentials with others
• You use member data for commercial or competitive purposes

Upon termination, you must immediately cease accessing member data and delete any member data you may have retained.

By registering for member access, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may track and log your data access activities to ensure compliance with these terms and MLS® rules. This information may be shared with the Victoria Real Estate Board upon request.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of member features after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered members of significant changes via email.
