The Greater Vancouver REALTORS (GVR) publishes monthly residential market statistics covering the Metro Vancouver area. The MLS Home Price Index (HPI) measures price changes for typical properties in each community, providing a more reliable indicator of price trends than average or median prices.
The sales-to-active listings ratio indicates market conditions: below 12% is a buyer's market, 12–20% is balanced, and above 20% is a seller's market. This ratio is calculated for the overall Metro Vancouver market as well as individual property types.
GVR covers areas serviced by the Greater Vancouver Realtors board. The Lower Mainland figures in this report combine data from GVR and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB).
